The Baby Bank is an administrative service. We don't provide babysitters and we don't recommend babysitters; we just allow you to organise and administer a babysitting circle with people you already know and most importantly trust. Use of the site is subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. Limitation of liability

By using The Baby Bank and by agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to use it only to organise babysitting with your trusted circle and you agree not to use it to allow anybody you don't know or who has not been recommended to you by someone you already know and trust to babysit your children. You agree that The Baby Bank will have absolutely no responsibility to you or to anyone else for the acts or omissions of the individuals you allow to perform babysitting for you. The Baby Bank will not be liable for any loss that you or any third party may suffer may as a result of the acts or omissions of the babysitter. You agree to indemnify us against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of these terms and conditions by you or through a machine on which you access the Baby Bank service.

Use of this website and the information is entirely at the user's sole risk. In no event will The Baby Bank be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of or related to this website. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with this website and/or information is to stop using the site and the information on it.

The Baby Bank does not guarantee that access to this website will be uninterrupted, that this website will be free from viruses or that this website cannot be tampered with by third parties. This website and the information are provided on an 'as is' basis, with no warranties of any kind whatsoever, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, any warranties or any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

A. The information we gather

When you join The Baby Bank you provide your name, your email address and your mobile and home telephone numbers. You can view them and change them on the My Details page. We have purposely kept the details held to a minimum as a security measure.

B. Sharing and use of information

We will never supply your personal data to a third party for commercial exploitation – and you can rest assured that we will never sell the lists of our Members' email addresses to a third party. Once a Member accepts membership of a group, or sets up their own group, all of the Registration Information held for that Member (name, email address and telephone numbers) will be available to all members of that group.

C. Security

We have security measures in place to protect our member database and access to this database is restricted internally. However, it is your responsibility to:

protect against unauthorised access to the My Details page when you are logged on;

ensure against anyone else using The Baby Bank through your machine when you are logged on;

log off or exit from The Baby Bank when you are not using it; and

keep your password secret.
