Here you can see your balance and all of the requests and babysits which make up
that balance (just like your regular bank statement). You can also update the hours
of any babysit to reflect what actually happened by clicking 'confirm completion'. You can also delete or cancel requests.
To confirm completion of a babysit:
- Click on 'confirm completion'.
- You will be taken to a confirmation screen which will show you the babysit you are wanting to confirm on the calendar. Beneath the calendar are start and end time fields which you can adjust.
- Once you have updated the time, all you need to do is click on 'complete'. and your balance will be updated on your statements.
To delete or cancel a request:
- If you want to delete a request which you have 'open' i.e. No-one has accepted it yet, all you have to do is hit 'delete'. This will remove this request from the system and no further action needs to be taken.
- If you want to cancel a request which someone has already accepted you need to select 'accepted' from the drop down box at the bottom of the screen.
- Hit 'cancel' to the right of the request
- This will take you to a confirmation screen where you will see the full request including any special request. To cancel simply click the 'cancel' button.
- The babysitter will be notified by text message (if applicable) and by e-mail that you need to cancel.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the babysit is due to start, you will be debited the points and the babysitter will be credited the points as if the babysit has actually taken place.
To cancel an agreed babysit:
- Hit 'cancel'.
- You will be taken to a confirmation screen which will show you the babysit you are wanting to cancel on the calendar as 'c'. All you then need to do is click 'cancel'.
- A text message will be sent to the original requestor informing them that you need to cancel. Text messages will then also be re-sent round the group to find a replacement babysitter.
- You will receive a text message confirmation that the babysitter has been informed and that a new message has been sent round the group. You will be billed £1.50 per 10 members (or fewer).
What do the terms mean:
Status:
- open - a request which has not yet been accepted/
- accepted - a request which someone has accepted or a babysit you have agreed to do. There will be a 'confirm completion' to the right of all of these requests. These will need to be confirmed to have the points allocated to both parties.
- completed - a request or babysit which has happened and been confirmed.
cancelled - a request or an agreed babysit which has been cancelled by either party.
Where the cancellation takes place less than 24 hours before the babysit it is due to start, penalty points are given.
