Help with "My Circles"
Create a Circle
- Go to 'Create a new circle' at the bottom of the screen, enter the name of the circle you want to create and click 'create'
- You then go to 'Add a member to your circle' to invite friends to join your circle
- Enter the name and e-mail address of the person you want to add to your circle. You will have to repeat this process for every friend you want to invite to join your circle
- They will receive an e-mail notification that they have been invited to join your circle.
- If they are new members to The Baby Bank, they will receive a temporary password and will have to go through the registration process .
- If they are already members they will simply receive an e-mail notification that they are invited to join your circle and that they can now use this circle to request and accept babysits.
Add a member to your circle
- Go to 'Add a member to your circle' You will only have access to this if you are the circle owner
- Enter the name and e-mail address of the person you want to add to your circle. You will have to repeat this process for every friend you want to invite to join your circle

Change the circle owner
- You may have created a circle and for whatever reason can no longer be the circle owner, or even participate in that circle. All you need to do is go to 'Change the Circle owner' and, using the drop-down box on the right, select another member of the circle to replace you. '
You will only have access to this if you are the circle owner. If you want to select someone who is not already a member of the circle, then you need to add that person to your circle first
- All you need to do is select that person and click 'change'. It is assumed that before you change the circle owner that you will inform the new owner that you intend to make them the circle owner
Remove a member from your circle
- You can only remove someone from your circle if they have no outstanding requests or babysits in the system.
If you don't see 'remove' to the right of the person's name and their status is 'active' then it means that they
have outstanding requests and babysits in the system. You need to ask them to delete or cancel these before you
can remove them from your circle.
- If the 'remove' button is there, you click on 'remove' and you will be asked
'do you want to remove this person from your circle?' Click OK, and the person will be removed.
E-mail your circle
- You may want to e-mail your circle with your address and directions for example. Along the purple bar at the top of the screen where you see the name of the circle, on the right hand side it says 'e-mail circle'; click on this and you can compose an e-mail to your circle
- If you want to send an e-mail to a different circle, you need to use the drop down where it says 'select a circle you want to view' and click 'view'. Then follow 1) above
- You can e-mail an individual member of any of your circles by clicking on their e-mail address.
